Life and Social Groups Begin
We meet online and in-person for one hour every week. Our social groups create opportunities to meet others with similar interests and challenges. In our life groups students will discover ways to become more independent at home, school, and in the workplace.

Family Funding Opportunities
The following is a list of DBHDD Family Support Coordinators in many areas of Georgia that we have been approved to serve as a family support community vendor. Please contact them directly to inquire about family funding.
If you have any questions about other funding support and your county is not listed, please contact Shelley at Waves by sending an email to wavesautismcenter@gmail.com. Some agencies below may have added additional counties to serve that are not listed.

Since July 2018 we have been an approved Middle Flint Behavioral Health support vendor.
If you or someone you love has a developmental challenge or has received an autism diagnosis and reside in the following counties, Butts, Carroll, Chattahoochee, Clay, Coweta, Crawford, Crisp, Dooly, Fayette, Harris, Heard, Henry, Houston, Lamar, Macon, Marion, Meriwether, Muscogee, Peach, Pike, Quitman, Randolph, Schley, Spalding, Stewart, Sumter, Talbot, Taylor, Troup, Upson and Webster, you may be eligible for family support funding through Middle Flint Behavioral Healthcare that will cover our groups and summer workshops.

In March 2019 we became a family support provider for River Edge Behavioral Health. If you have a developmental challenge or have received an autism diagnosis and live in the following counties, Baldwin, Bibb, Jones, Monroe, Putnam, Twiggs, and Wilkinson you may be eligible for family support funding through River Edge.

In September 2019 we became a family support vendor for the Champion for Children Program at Easter Seals that serves those with a developmental challenge in all areas of Georgia! This program is for those 18 and younger who have been denied Medicaid and Katie Beckett. Angela Sanders is the family support coordinator and can be reached to answer any questions you may have at 478-697-5947. Her email is asanders@mges.us. The Champion for Children covers families that live in all Georgia counties.

Waves GVRA Program
In January 2023 Waves officially became a GVRA Provider offering in-person and online Pre-ETS (Pre-Employment Training Services). Please contact your local GVRA field office to apply. We have been approved to offer in-person services in Houston Count as well as virtually serving all counties in Georgia. You can find their contact information and the district map on the GVRA website at www.gvs.ga.gov.
Once a student is approved your local GVRA field counselor can send Waves a referral through the vendor portal for us to schedule an intake for our Waves GVRA Program! You can also reach out to your local school district. We would be happy to schedule a time to start a conversation to serve your area virtually in the classroom.

GVRA Grow Workshops are coming this June and July 2023! If you would like for your son or daughter to join us here at Waves or in your local area, please contact your local GVRA Field Office to apply. Let your local GVRA counselor know you would like to see a GVRA Grow workshop where you live. You can also reach out to Shelley to let her know you would like more information about bringing a Waves GVRA GROW Workshop to your area. Together we can build bridges and create pathways between our students and the business community in your local area. This is for ages 14-22.
For those that do not qualify for GVRA services Waves offers in-person and online life groups and educational workshops where we create pathways to learn a new skill for continuing education or to become an entrepreneur.
